Chikutō studied Chinese painting under Kyūjō Yamada and he adopted the nanga style for his art. This gallery shows fifteen of his flower and (or) bird paintings. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Chikutō chose to use only shades of gray for most of his paintings. He also published his art in picture books.
